Stephen hopes that his life and message will show people that God never gives up on them either.
Stephen Avery
Stephen’s journey is a testament to God’s grace and never giving up on your dreams. One of his key bible verses is Ecclesiastes 7:8 where it says “the end is better than the beginning.” Stephen has become well known for his boundless enthusiasm, unwavering determination, and his indomitable “Never Say Die” attitude. Stephen hopes that his life and message will show people that God never gives up on them either.
His life has been punctuated by second chances and amazing grace. As a kid who was once the last one picked in gym class that ended up making it to the NFL for eight years is just one of the many examples of how persistence pays off.Stephen is always humble to admit that, “if it was not for other people who went out of their way to help me get to the next level of life, I do not know where I would be.” Stephen believes that God has placed a unique ability in each and every person to help others succeed. “I believe that there is someone waiting on the other side of our obedience to God’s voice that will literally help save someone’s life.”
When Stephen was only 13 years old, another boy in the neighborhood asked him to join a local youth group. Coincidentally, that day the youth group was scheduled to take a bus trip to attend a Billy Graham crusade at Milwaukee County Stadium. It was during that event that Stephen embraced Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Stephen is in awe of the profound impact that one question had on his life and often wonders what would have transpired if that kid had not invited him to the youth group. Stephen went on to have a flourishing sports career and has been blessed to be married to his wife Sandy for over 27 years. Together, they embrace a profound commitment to their faith and continue to pursue the divine calling upon their lives, spreading a message of God’s love, hope and faith to all those they encounter.
Sandy Avery
Sandy had a humble, small town upbringing in Newell, West Virginia. She was raised primarily by a God-fearing Mom and Stepdad who had her in church every time the doors were open. Ever since she was a young girl, Sandy has felt the Lord’s call to ministry on her life. Time and time again, Christian speakers would call her out from the crowd to pray over her, prophesying and confirming the path God had set before her.
Since then, the Lord has been faithful to lead her into deeper understanding of his heart, from her Bible college education in Singapore and Tulsa to her ten-year women’s ministry and her involvement with drug and alcohol rehab centers in Pittsburgh. She’s been a serious student of God’s word for over 27 years now.
Sandy’s authenticity and passion for teaching make her cherished among her friends and family. She possesses a remarkable ability to articulate precisely the words needed, regardless of the audience. Whether you encounter her in person or through video, you will sense a strong anointing as God speaks through her, imparting wisdom, encouragement, and love. No matter where you are in life, at the top of your field, the most affluent in your neighborhood, single parent just making ends meet or someone struggling to just get out of bed, you are sure to benefit from her encouragement and teaching style.
Sandy’s husband and children will tell you there’s no one better at optimizing. A self-described “recovering perfectionist,” she works hard to use her powers for good, always organizing (and reorganizing) to make things more efficient and effective. Over the years, her never-ending quest for personal growth has made her a powerhouse mom, wife, friend, and teacher.
When her nose isn’t buried in a self-improvement book, you’ll often find Sandy working out or watching sunsets from the beach. Sandy currently resides in Florida where she prioritizes morning sunrises with prayer and coffee. Together with her husband, Stephen, Sandy continues to lead others in discipleship, affirming those around her.
